Although it can prove difficult
practising workout techniques from a book, 'Acupressure - Simple Steps to
Health' is extremely user-friendly.
All techniques are clearly
presented, with photographs and diagrams for reference. Precise descriptions
outline the location of each point and technique for application.
Of most importance for your
motivation, every technique is accompanied by a description of the 'benefits' to
your health and well-being.
Jacqueline reminds the reader in
her introduction that; "Acupressure, used wisely, can give you real power at
your fingertips: the power to promote your own health, to detect imbalances at
any early stage through self-awareness and the ability to restore balance.
However acupressure is not a
substitute for medical treatment in the case of serious illness, so if your
symptoms persist or you are unsure what is causing them, you should always seek
medical advice."
I recommend that the
acupressure workout techniques are performed as an integrated part of your
Starbound sessions, following gentle pulsing on your bouncer, mobility and
stretch sequences. They also follow on perfectly from the deep stretch and

Alternatively you can practise
your Acupressure Workouts independently, depending on your schedule. Light a

In sessions with clients I am often asked to suggest self-help techniques and resources that can be used to help achieve a variety of goals within Starbounding programmes.
Top of my suggestion list from recent releases are the following two books by Jacqueline Young, renowned author and practitioner of oriental medicine, guest lecturer at several colleges of acupuncture and massage in the UK and internationally.
In Starbound my book I present a small selection of lymphatic reflex stroking techniques, and neurovascular holding points.
